WRITER/DIRECTOR ERIN GALEY

An American creative producer & director, Erin's work often explores the nuances of identity & empathy in the sci-fi, thriller, and drama genres. Her work features dynamic female leads with rich emotional worlds, in stories of woman vs. self or woman vs. society, sometimes seen as outsiders or anti-heroes. Her stories are often set in lush natural environments.

In the commercial space, Erin's work explores the voice of the warrior and the heart of wild spaces. She loves uncovering what makes athletes tick, telling soulful character-based stories, sometimes in remote locations. Sometimes the stories are about the locations themselves. She aims to connect audiences to the engine that drives greatness and the heartbeat of the natural world, both which feel synonymous to her.

A graduate of NYU’s Tisch Grad Film program, Erin studied under directors Ramon Menendez, Oliver Stone, Shekhar Kapur, and cinematographer Bobby Bukowski. Her thesis film Sahasi Chori (Brave Girl) premiered at SXSW, screened at 37 festivals worldwide (including the Director's Guild of America), and garnered critical acclaim and 20 awards like the Women In Film Directing Award, the Carl Lerner Award for a Film With Social Significance, and Best of Fest at Palm Springs.

In 2013 she received a directing shadow position at HBO, studying under Oscar & Emmy-nominated director Lesli Linka-Glatter, and writer Angela Robinson. Later that year she founded FLICKER - a production company in Portland, OR. She has since helmed brand & agency work as a Director and Creative Producer for clients like Project Rock, UFC, National Geographic, The North Face, adidas, Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Marriott, Mercedes-Benz, United Way, Travel Oregon, Red Light Management, and many others.

In her spare time she enjoys snowboarding, trail running, and screenwriting.
